Designed with the build in mind
Your home, the site and how you’ll use the space guide the design. We work through the layout, materials and construction together, balancing the result you want with your budget.
From the first visit to construction
Site visit
We assess the site, hear your ideas and work through the scope together.
Design and quote
Your fixed-price construction quote comes with a 3D concept showing the proposed scope.
Plans and approvals, if needed
After the contract is signed and the deposit paid, we begin the required plans and applications.
Build
With the design agreed and any required approvals in place, we begin construction.
Does my deck or pergola need approval?
We check which route suits your property and proposed work, including whether changes to the design could simplify approval.
Exempt development
No planning or building approval is needed if the proposed work and your property meet the requirements for exempt development.
Complying development (CDC)
A council or registered certifier can approve projects that meet set standards. One certificate covers both planning and building approval.
Development application (DA) & CC
Council assesses your proposal. After approval, a Construction Certificate (CC) confirms the detailed plans meet building requirements before work begins.
What we handle
We prepare site plans, elevations, construction drawings and supporting documents, and lodge applications on your behalf. We coordinate engineers, surveyors, specialist reports and your appointed certifier where required.
Approval costs
Expected approval costs are itemised separately from construction, with fixed figures where possible. Additional reports or documents may be required as the application progresses.
How long it takes
Timing depends on the approval route, required reports and assessment. We discuss the likely timeframe once the scope is clear.
During approvals, we keep you informed of progress, what we’re waiting on and what comes next.

An idea, a few sketches or existing plans are enough to begin.
